Holy Spirit Baptism - What We Need For A More Fulfilled Christian Life

The Holy Spirit baptism is a much overlooked tenet of the Christian faith. The third person of the trinity, the Holy Spirit, seems to be a phantom idea that is often misunderstood, much less scrutinized. But to be more effective Christian followers, the Holy Ghost, must be allowed to be an ongoing force to lead us as we take our Christian walk.

The Book of Acts gives a glimpse of what the Spirit of God can do to us once we are baptized by it:

Acts 2:1-4  Now when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.

The Pentecost, as it is called, will never be duplicated as it is a unique event in the Christian history. But the Holy Spirit baptism happens all the time, at all hours of the day, throughout the world as people give their lives to the Lord and let God's Spirit control their lives.

We, as Christians need an ennobling by the Holy Spirit to be able to lead fruitful Christian lives.
